Works as advertised. Tough to fit into the switch box with all the wires back there. But, it does the job and I like it.

Good product, and causes one to question the need for the huge In-LineLinc. The screws for attaching Load & Neutral tend to "strip" if you're not careful. So, do not over tighten.

I bought this to install in an air purifier/ozone generator and it was easy to install and works but the static produced by the ozone generator in the purifier messes with the module and shuts it down. I am going to have to remove it from inside of the purifier and either try mounting it inside of a box inline with the power cable but I'd probably be better just using an appliance module or switched plug. I chose to go this route because of the tight area where the power is connected and not having enough room to install an appliance module. I assume it would work great if it wasn't for the static/interference produced by the ozone generator inside of the purifier. The concept, size and ease of installation of the module are very good and it should work great in applications where interference isn't a problem.

This is a great little module which is easy to cram into a j-box with all of the other wiring. I used it to automate a sensor light so my ISY will know when it has been triggered and turn on other lights to make getting into the house easier for us and to surprise anyone messing around. The module is great, five stars. It does its thing and can be added to the network just by adding its unique address. The one thing it won't do is work with the type of sensor light that ramps the light up and down. Dual Bright is one watch word and if the package tells you to use a tungsten load or halogen bulbs, those won't work. You need the relay output type where you can hear a faint click when the sensor trips. Home Depot DOES sell a sensor light that will work and has relay output. It's a Heath/Zenith Model SL-5412-WH-D. The manual SPECIFICALLY says you can use CFL bulbs. To do that, it needs a relay and this one has it. I bought one of these lights and wired up the Insteon module and now it's on my network and I can use it as a slave or control based on the programming I chose. It just needs a clean power output and not the dirty transistor output of the lights that ramp up and down or go to dim mode.

I used this to build a dual-band ApplianceLinc, since Smarthome doesn't make that. I am using it to power cycle a Power-over-Ethernet switch that's on a UPS, so power line signals don't work. So far this is working exactly as planned.
