This does what it is supposed to. But I wish I didn't need it. If the KeypadLinc came with the transparent keycaps as default and then offered this as an option. I would not have to spend more money.

Converts just fine. Probably helps to have HouseLinc software. Would have been painful conversion without.

This is a necessary part! The plastic bale that holds the keycaps in place is EXTREMELY fragile. I am a tech and have a great deal of related experience. Yet, if you follow the instructions to remove keycaps in the SmartHome videos, you CAN break the bale. I followed the instructions and still broke the first one I changed. Videos are http://www.smarthome.com/vid-keypadlinc-led-change.html and http://www.smarthome.com/vid-custom-etched-buttons.html. They do say to put the screwdriver between the SMALLER keys. Warning: If you have the 8-button, it must be between the CENTER keys first, even though they are all small keys. To charge over five bucks PLUS shipping is extremely high, I'd call it usury. If you're buying either 6 or 8-button KeyPadLinc, be sure to ask for at least one of these kits on your first order and at least save the shipping charges. The original KeyPadLincs come with keycaps with fairly useless labels, so you will want the clear keycaps to insert your own labels. This is a great product, but they should include it for no charge. For that reason alone, I've given it only two stars. I've installed more than a dozen Insteon products in my home and love them. Even my wife loves them. Have fun with your Insteon, it's great stuff!

Easy install and easy change from 6 to 8 buttons. I find the 8 button frames to be very delicate, especially when changing buttons and colors.

The product description does not make it clear that it works for both a 6-butotn relay and 6-button dimmer style keypad. I was hesitant to purchase it because of that uncertainty. But I'm definitely happy that it worked!
