Essential Info

One of the nicest features on the INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer and Relay (Non-Dimming) units is their line of LED lights. This elegant brightness bar consists of 8 white LEDs that indicate the current brightness of the lights being controlled on the dimmer switch. Change the appearance of up to eight switches in your home with the SwitchLinc Light Pipe Kit, a set of pipes that easily install in the SwitchLinc to change the LEDs from bright white to a more diffused, frosted look.

    More Info

    The frosted white LEDs will still be exceptionally helpful when it is difficult to see the light being controlled (e.g. outside or behind closed doors). The INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmers and Relays also offer a status LED; eight status LED pipes are also included in this kit so that all LEDs on the switch will match. Other colors are available in a variety pack of light pipes, which contains two pair of red, blue, green, and amber LED pipes. Blue and red pipes are also available in 8-pair packs. Please note that these light pipes are compatible only with INSTEON SwitchLinc line products.

    A white paddle is included with the INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer and Relay (Non-Dimming), but additional paddle colors are available and sold separately. Choose the color that best suits your room's decor: Almond, Ivory, Brown, Black, or Gray. Two paddles are included in each set.

    Fixed my issue with SwitchLinc LEDs being too bright in the master bath next to bedroom. It is great that the Status LED is seperate from the level indicator LEDs because I was able to replace just the Status LED light pipe with this kit, and when the light is off the LEDs go nice and dark, but when a light is on, I left the clear light pipes in so the brightness LEDs are at full brightness and easy to see even in daylight with a Skylight. Thanks for making this product.

    Does good job of reducing the LEDs brightness in a dark room. Down side is in a brightly light room the LEDs are not well seen. My older Blue ones where better in the daylight but too bright in a dark room. Frosted was my best compromise and is satisfying.

    Features of the product are not clearly explained. I think regular customers not familiar with the way leds and pipes are assembled inside the switches, may assume (as I did) that the pipes include the corresponding leds.
