Scene Lighting — Change the Lighting to Match Your Mood
Scenes allow you to control multiple circuits, rooms or even all the lights in your home with a single X10 command. All member circuits will turn on to your independently desired levels (or off) simultaneously, at your independently desired ramp/fade rates. These are elegant features usually found only in systems costing thousands of dollars and requiring extensive rewiring of your home. Because the SwitchLinc 2-Way Dimmer remembers different light settings for different situations, you'll be able to launch various mood lighting scenarios with one touch. Just send the command for one of these "scenes" (i.e. "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc.) and every SwitchLinc that's programmed to respond will do so by automatically adjusting the lights to pre-determined levels. To do that with other X10 switches, you'll need an intelligent controller, which adjusts each circuit one-at-a-time, takes longer to respond and increases the likelihood of errors due to signal collisions. SwitchLinc 2-way can be a member of up to 64 scenes and uses standard X10 signals for scene control, unlike many other dimmers.

Fully X10 Compatible
SwitchLincs can be controlled from any X10 transmitter. For example, add an X10 wireless remote (#4000), and you'll be able to adjust the light levels from the comfort of your sofa. Expand with an X10 Mini Timer (#1100X) and you can maximize safety by programming lights to turn on before you get home at night. Add an X10 Keychain Remote (#4004) and you'll be able to turn on indoor lights from the safety of your car! Unlike many "higher-end" powerline switches, SwitchLinc responds to all the standard X10 commands. No need to replace your transmitters to control them.
Adjustable Fade Rate
You can also adjust the rate at which the light turns on or off, also known as the "ramp" rate. For example, you may want the light in the stairwell to turn on instantly so you can see where you're walking. Conversely, you may want the light in the master bathroom to ramp up in a soft, gentle fashion so you're not blinded first thing in the morning. The ramp rate is adjustable between 0.1 seconds and 9 seconds directly at the switch or keypad. When programmed remotely with X10 signals, the ramp rate is adjustable between 0.1 seconds and 9 minutes (for a simulated sunrise or sunset).
Dimmable
You can adjust the brightness level locally by pressing and holding the top or bottom of SwitchLinc. You can also adjust the brightness remotely by sending it standard, X-10 dims and brights or by sending it a Preset Dim command. If you need to control a fluorescent light fixture, consider the SwitchLinc 2-Way Switch (Fluorescent).
Brightness Indicator Bar
An elegant "brightness bar" of 8 LEDs indicates the current brightness of the lights being controlled. This can be exceptionally helpful when it is difficult to see the light being controlled (e.g. outside, pool or behind closed doors).
Night Light Locator
A small, subtle LED at the top of SwitchLinc makes it easy to find in a dark room.
Status Light
The nightlight LED doubles as a status light by blinking when there is X-10 traffic in the home. This feature makes installation and troubleshooting much easier.
Easy to Install and Set Up
Wires in like a standard wall switch — the only exception being that a neutral wire is required. Setup is a snap. To set its base X10 address, simply press and hold the set-button/nightlight for 5 seconds then send it the X10 address. To set its on level simply adjust it to the brightness level desired and single tap the set button. To set its ramp rate fast, simply brighten to full on and double tap the set button. To set its ramp rate slow, simply dim to a low level and double tap. Alternatively, every single feature/option (except the base address) can be set up remotely using an X10 transmitter.
X10 Preset Dim Compatible
When desired, you can send a single X10 "preset-dim" command (used by many intelligent controllers) to SwitchLinc and it will adjust itself directly and smoothly to your desired level.
Sends Status Response
Provides feedback to your intelligent X10 controller, giving you the reliability of hardwired systems without the high cost. You can also poll the status of a SwitchLinc for an instant status report, including dim level. These features are critical when you need to know whether the circuit being controlled is on or off such as when you are controlling it over the telephone or via the web.
Create Virtual 3-Way Circuits & Control Other Devices Via X10
SwitchLinc is the first 2-Way X10 compatible switch in the World! Do you wish you had a 3- or 4-way circuit, but your switches are not wired that way? Use SwitchLinc 2-Way to turn other lights on (simply program both SwitchLincs to the same base address) Then, assuming you would still like to control the two circuits independently, program independent scene addresses into each SwitchLinc 2-Way. You can even use SwitchLinc 2-Way to control other devices. For example, you can use a double-tap "on" to turn the TV in the room on and a double tap "off" to turn the TV off (requires an intelligent controller). Similarly, you can control drapes, thermostats and other devices. One popular application is to have a double tap turn all lights off.
600- and 1,000-Watt Versions Available
At 600 watts SwitchLinc 2-Way (#2380W) can handle multiple lights/lamps simultaneously -- handy for high wattage halogens, etc. The 1,000-watt SwitchLinc 2-Way (#2381) can handle the larger circuits, such as a large chandelier.
3- & 4-Way Ready
Simply add a SwitchLinc Multi-way Companion to build a 3-way circuit, add two of them to build a 4-way circuit, add three for 5-way, etc. The multi-way companions simply connect to the yellow wire on SwitchLinc 2-Way.
