More Info
|
Place this controller anywhere it's convenient: You can control lights in your kitchen without getting out of bed, or turn on your bedroom lights and electric blanket before you head upstairs. Similar to the standard X10 protocol, Universal Powerline Bus technology communicates over your existing power wires, so no rewiring is necessary in order to use this home automation controller. But UPB benefits include its higher reliability, since its signal strength is stronger than X10, with increased electrical noise resistance. UPB technology is not X10 compatible.
UPB technology allows enough individually addressable devices to control even large residential environments, usually without the need for phase coupling and without affecting or being affected by adjacent home environments. Installation is extremely simple. Just plug the AC power cord into any AC outlet in your home. With the free, downloadable UpStart software and a UPB Interface Module (sold separately), you can use your computer to configure and/or control UPB devices.
Use your Tabletop UPB Controller to create scenes. Up to 16 functions can be linked so that with the touch of a button, you can dim your lights, turn on your audiovisual equipment, and close your drapes. The UPB Appliance Modules and Lamp Modules required to perform these functions are sold separately.
