If you're new to home automation, this UPB starter kit will give you a taste of what is possible with by giving you the ability to control your lights in more convenient ways than a manual flick of the switch. This starter kit comes with two pre-configured lamp module and one tabletop controller with 4-button scene control. By connecting each lamp module to a lamp in your home, and then to an AC outlet, you will not be able to remotely control that lamp via the 4-scene controller. Tap button "1" to turn ON/OFF the connected lamp to module 1; tap button "2" to turn ON/OFF the connected lamp to module 2; tap button "3" to turn ON/OFF both connected lamps; tap button "4" to simply turn OFF both connected lamps. Dimming of the lamps with these modules is also possible by pressing and holding on the button associated with the desired lamp to be dimmed. As it slow begins to dim simply release the button when it has reached a brightness level of your liking. It is important to note that dimming will not work with fluorescent lighting.

Note: With the SimplySmart pre-configured devices, each device has been hard coded with a unique ID, which means you'll only want one of each of the following in a single home: DKIT-01, DKIT-02, UML7, UML8, US1W9, US1W10, US2TP11, or US2W12. Having more than one of these in the home will make communication unstable, as these are designed to be starter devices only.
