Essential Info
Control any light in your home from two different switches. By installing the Single UPB Slave Switch, you can turn a Single UPB Dimmer Switch (sold separately) into a true three-way unit to control it remotely from another room in your home. This SimplyBrilliant™ auxiliary switch can control and dim a lighting load up to 1000 watts using Universal Powerline Bus technology. UPB technology uses your existing wiring, so you don't need to run wires in order to take advantage of its properties. A Decora-style wall plate is sold separately.

The Single UPB Slave Switch does not make use of the Load wire. Using true rocker action for both on/off and dimming capabilities, this auxiliary dimmer switch is capable of communicating with UPB plug-in modules and/or other UPB devices (sold separately) to control virtually anything that can be connected to existing wiring anywhere in the home. With 200 dimming steps as well as a resume dim feature, the Single UPB Slave Switch can provide attractive lighting ambience as well as the flexibility you deserve. It is not recommended that this switch be used with non-dimmable lighting or with appliances.
UPB technology delivers exceptional reliability and noise immunity at a much lower installed cost when compared to hardwired and RF solutions, and you'll experience no interference from adjacent homes. UPB technology is not X10 compatible.
The Single UPB Slave Switch has a thinner depth profile for easy installation. Additional features include its patent-pending contoured heat sink, which delivers cooler operation.
With the free, downloadable UpStart software and a UPB Interface Module (sold separately), you can use your computer to configure and/or control UPB devices. If you're just getting started with automating your lights and appliances.
