Overview

  • Control any light or appliance via X10 commands
  • Extended addressing capability up to 4096 addresses
  • Use for any non-dimming application

Essential Info

Ideal for non-dimming applications, the Fixture Relay Module can control such loads as ceiling fans or fluorescent lighting. With two-way powerline communication, the Fixture Relay Module will respond to relay status requests for standard or extended addresses. The LED on the face is a guide in programming and also indicates status and power. Automate a light or appliance fixture without having to hit the switch. The HomePro Fixture Relay Module wires in discreetly and permanently to any light or appliance. Just mount this compact in-line fixture switch to the inside of the lighting or appliance fixture with the included self-adhesive tape and attach it to your wiring, and you'll be able to control the unit via X10 or extended address commands. A transmitter is required to communicate with the module and is sold separately.

You'll be able to control high current loads up to 305 VAC with the HomePro Fixture Relay Module, which features advanced A10 circuitry and is X10 signal compatible. The Fixture Relay Module features both standard and extended addressing. This X10-compatible module accepts all standard 256 X10 addresses, but it can also be programmed to any of the extended X10 addresses, which number up to 4096 addresses. This in-line module responds to ON, OFF, ALL LIGHTS ON, ALL LIGHTS OFF and ALL UNITS OFF commands.

The HomePro Fixture Relay Module is an A10 enhanced powerline carrier receiver controlling a single internal isolated contact form-A relay, which holds the last commanded state upon power loss. A10 circuitry also remembers the last relay state to provide the correct status report upon power loss. By enabling the Fixture Relay Module's "polite mode," the module will wait until there's no noise on the line to transmit a signal.

The Wire Wizard -- bay area, CA   4/28/2013
Used this relay along with item 2207. Worked perfectly together to turn on/off a pool and spa light. Prior wiring between the pool control and the house where the original wall switch was located had been damaged and was not accessible.
    TALMADGE -- charleston, WV   12/7/2012
Can not program even spoke with manufacture ,still not working.
    JOHN -- medford, OR   9/27/2012
This RF124 unit was installed as a pond pump controller to replace an older XPFM inline unit that failed. The RF124 does not use the traditional X-10 rotary switches for selecting 'House Code' and 'Unit Code'. Instead, the unit is 'programmed' by connecting the RF124 line leads to power, pressing the unit's configuration button and then transmitting the appropriate on/off button from an X-10 controller. I found it helpful to pre-program the unit inside the home before installation.
Don E Bray -- college station, TX   9/23/2012
I want to give a clear thumbs up for this product. Granted, the connection instructions are iffy but once you realize that there is only one power source coming to this switch and you connect the black and the input blue to this the rest follows. I am suspicious that it will need to be reconfigured after a power outage, but that is not really a problem. Good product, it works.
    SEAN -- bellaire, TX   5/24/2012
Be sure to read all of the directions - the idea is that the black and white wires supply power to the unit, and when it is turned "on," it internally connects the two blue wires together.
    KENNETH -- bethlehem, PA   3/25/2012
This unit workd perfectly as soon as it was installed, unlike the two similar Insteon / X10 capable modues. They never worked properly; this one did.
    LEWIS -- lincoln, CA   1/1/2012
The product worked out well. It does take up most of the room in the electrical box though.
    STEVEN M. -- mesa, AZ   10/24/2011
failed at distanc es of 20 feet from PLM
    JP-Johnny -- san juan, Puerto Rico   5/25/2011
Worked perfectly! Isolated contacts are great and allow you to use the product with AC or DC circuits. Pretty simple to wire up with standard wiring colors. I did configure the units prior to installation which likely made the process a little easier. The relay makes very little noise which was nice. Make sure you are on the same phase or that you have a coupler/retransmitter to get things going.
    PAUL E -- belleville, IL   5/21/2010
I am pleased with this product - so far, it has worked flawlessly.
JOHN -- brant rock, MA   11/19/2009
I cannot comment on this item because I did not use it. I returned it. I am quite happy with Smarthome customer service and look forward to future purchases.
    JOHN -- n. versailles, PA   9/13/2009
THIS PRODUCT WORKS WHERE X100 CONTROLLED OUTLETS FAIL
    JOHN -- n. versailles, PA   7/12/2009
I HAVE 5 OF THESE. THE ONES PRODUCED IN THE PAST WERE SMALLER. BUT THESE STILL FIT IN A CEILING FAN AND WORK GREAT. THEY ISOLATE THE RELAY CONTACTS FROM THE ELECTRONICS AND ALLOW BETTER OPERATION THAN AN X10 XPFM RELAY.
THOMAS -- east meadow, NY   7/6/2009
The instructions are a little sketchy. I had to e-mail the manufacturer to explain the wiring of the device.
    JAMES -- gainesville, FL   2/7/2008
    Very knowledgeable.
MERLE -- terre hill, PA   1/17/2008
Well-engineered device: Has AGC and can be programmed to respond as desired for house on and house off, and "polite" mode.
JIM -- ellicott city, MD   12/14/2007
Programming instructions are not clear. I would recommend programming the unit prior to actual installation. Other than that, it is very easy to install and works as advetised. It is extremely flexible in application since the switched Circuit can be completely separate from the control circuit. I will definitely buy this product again.
DAN -- el dorado hills, CA   10/26/2007
    Product did not work.
    RICK -- burke, VA   8/23/2007
Works as advertised. I like having the separate relay contacts (blue wires).
STEPHEN -- des peres, MO   6/25/2007
Works well, just not easily mounted inside a standard 4" square box, as the wires make it impossible to stick it to the back of the box.
