    The Leviton Duplex Receptable also has the unique feature of a feed through wire that becomes live when the outlet is ON and turns off when the outlet is OFF. Use this wire to control other non-X10 receptacles. Responds to ALL OFF. Rated at 15A, 120V.

    For easy addressing, insert an X10 Code Clicker (sold separately) into the dial wheel.

    There's a Variety of Controlled Receptacles Available
    Smarthome's INSTEON technology is now available in a 15-amp controlled outlet with local control, in White, Ivory, Almond, and Black. Outlets with X10 technology are made with 20-amp ratings, without local control, in 220 volt, Ivory, 220 volt, White, 110 volt, Ivory, and 110 volt, White. There's also one 20-amp version with local control: 110 volt, White; all these heavy-duty outlets allow control of high-current devices like air conditioners, water heaters, or pool or spa pumps. For "normal" loads (110 volts, 15 amps max), choose between the White made by X10, or Ivory, or White with local control, or one without local control in White made by Leviton.

    The Leviton DHC Duplex Receptacle is compatible with Decora-style wall plates (sold separately).

    This is a great outlet, especially since it has a downstream hot wire for controlling external hardwired devices in addition to the built in outlet.

    The first 2 switches that I ordered failed. One within 1 week the other lasted 2 months. Big hassel to return them to manufacturer for warranty. The next set have been working for 2 weeks now!!!

    Didn't work as I planned. Local control IS disabled, but it still sends out a small amount of current which LED lights don't like. Would not have purchased if I had known. I ended up using it in another application where a simple appliance module would have worked just as well for a lot less money.

    As with all Leviton X10 products I've bought these have a limited life--I figure I have to replace them every 3-5 years. All of their X10 switches and receptacles I've bought have eventually become unreliable or completely quit working. I bought this as a replacement for one that only lasted 3 years.

    Great product for outdoor lighting. If you are connecting transformers to the outlet you need this product vs. the split receptacle. The split version will only work with resistive loads. Pluses: It works well Minuses: Loud click from the relay & Hard to fit into outlet box this is true of all the X10 outlets
