Please note that this receptacle is rated for 120 volts split-single phase electrical service commonly found in single-family homes in North America. It will not operate on three-phase electrical service found in some apartments, condos, and commercial buildings. It will not operate on single-phase 240-volt electricity found outside of North America. There is a version available for 220 volt power.
Enjoy X10 control with a custom built-in look. If you want X10 remote control of your plug-in lamp or appliance but you do not want to use a plug-in module, replace your existing wall receptacle with one of these X10 compatible receptacles.
Installation takes just 15 minutes and can be done by even the most elementary do-it-yourselfers equipped with a flathead screwdriver. Just turn off power to the outlet at the circuit breaker and replace the existing fixture following the wiring diagram in the included instructions. Set the X10 address using the integrated dials, restore power, replace the plug cover and you're ready for smooth and easy X10 control without any additional plug-in modules! For easy addressing, insert an X10 Code Clicker (sold separately) into the dial wheel.
Leviton also makes the X10 controlled receptacle in two 15Amp versions: split control, with one controlled and one always-on outlet; and both-controlled.
These X10 receptacles, also available in ivory, are compatible with Decora-Style outlet covers (not included). Backed by a limited two-year manufacturer warranty.
