Essential Info

The bottom outlet behaves like a regular non-controlled outlet. The top outlet responds to X10 commands just like a 3 pin appliance module. The receptacle module responds to regular ON, OFF, and ALL UNITS OFF commands. It does not respond to ALL LIGHTS ON, BRIGHT, or DIM commands. This outlet uses a Decora-style wall plate (sold separately).

The Local Control feature is enabled on this product, making it possible to turn on the appliance plugged into the outlet without having to find a transmitter. Simply turn the load off and then on again. The module will "see" that someone is trying to turn on the attached device and will engage the relay in the module. There is also a version available with both outlets controlled. And it's also available in white, 220 volts, and rated at 15 amps.

For easy addressing, insert an X10 Code Clicker (sold separately) into the dial wheel.

Please note that like all non-dimming receiving modules, this unit will produce a "click" sound when activated.

This product works like a champ. I have it outdoors and after a big rain it dies. They only last about 14 -18 months.

These things seem to be a bit fragile, they get into a mode where instead of turing on and off the make a series of clicks and then stay in the last state. I've had to replace them several times.

Works fine. FYI, some very low wattage CFL bulbs see enough current in the Off switch position to try and start. I think on all X10 appliance modules, the back-sensing of the device switch should be eliminated, and make it a real on-off switch.

Worked perfectly. Controlled Receptacle runs a rope light that is on the railing of my front deck. The Un-Controlled receptacle holds an X10 PowerFlash Interface that is connected to a Dual Technology Motion Sensor. The Motion Sensor and PowerFlash unit control a Security Camera when someone walks onto my front deck.
