Essential Info
What if you could turn on your coffeepot in the morning without walking downstairs to the kitchen? Web Mountain's UPB Appliance Module makes it possible it to control an appliance such as a coffeepot, fan or even fluorescent lighting using your existing outlets. Just plug the appliance into the UPB Appliance Module, and you'll be able to control it remotely, using a UPB 6-Button Wall Controller (sold separately).

More Info
|
The UPB Appliance Module uses Universal Powerline Bus technology for superior performance and reliability. Similar to the standard X10 protocol, Universal Powerline Bus technology uses your existing power wires, so no rewiring is necessary in order to use this switch. But UPB benefits include its higher reliability, since its signal strength is stronger than X10, with increased electrical noise resistance.
The UPB Appliance Module plugs into your wall, but you won't lose an outlet: The appliance to be controlled plugs into the bottom of the module, but a pass-through outlet is included as well, for a non-controlled appliance. The appliance can even be integrated into scenes.
Sold separately, the UPB RS232 PC Interface Module converts serial signals to UPB powerline signals to control your UPB modules from your computer.
Please note: UPB products are NOT X10 compatible
