Essential Info

Enjoy complete local and remote X10 control of high-power devices with this switch, designed specifically for high-wattage, higher amp loads. Capable of handling 20-Amp devices at 120V, this switch provides up to 2,400 Watts of control. This relay switch is great for standalone applications, or for three- or four-way circuits that can be controlled from more than one switch location. A three-way circuit requires one relay switch and one multi-way companion switch. A four-way circuit requires one relay switch and two multi-way companion switches. For single-pole applications, leave the "control" terminal unconnected. The switch responds to ALL LIGHTS ON and ALL LIGHTS OFF, and features an LED that indicates the switch is on. Requires a neutral wire connection.

Note: Because this switch responds to ALL LIGHTS ON, use care when controlling non-lamp loads. Use an X10 appliance module or wall receptacle if you don't want your device to respond to that command.

    Switch when on OFF position allows a low current to pass, so there is Low Voltage when off, that results on Lamp "flickering".

    I've been slowly changing my x10 dimmer switches to relays so I can use compact fluorescent bulbs. Makes a loud click but works great. No dimming, of course, but I never used the dimming.

    I am very happy with this product. It works as advertised. I liked the fact that I can use this with CFL lights and works perfectly. Initially I had difficulty to install it because it did not fit in the switch box the electritian had installed. So, I had the switch box replaced by one that I purchased at Home Depot and the instalation was very easy.

    I can't say anything "bad" about this switch. It works exactly as advertised and provides a great switching function for my garage florescent lights. But one oddity is the switch itself. It is more of a "momentary" switch that opens and closes the relay. It does not actually "toggle" between the on and off positions like a normal decorative switch does. A bit odd and takes a little getting used to, but certainly acceptable.

    Works exactly as expected. I am using this with a probably 15 or 20 year old x-10 controller with no issues. You should not it does make a loud clunk sound when turned off and on. Also, the rocker panel does not operate as you might expect. With most switches like this, you push the top to torn on, the bottom to turn off. With this one, you only push the bottom. Once to turn on, again to turn off. No big deal.

    Smarthome website shows this item as suitable for controlling ceiling fans, X 10 pro support say that it is NOT suitable for most ceiling fans,when it didnt work Smarthome promptly accepted the item for return without any problems.
