Essential Info
This Leviton X10 dimmer switch has the high quality construction as the popular Leviton Microdim line of dimmer switches but with enhanced X10 capability and true rocker action. The rocker paddle has a positive click action feel and response that will please those who do not like the mushy operation of lower cost X10 switches. Resume dim returns the switch to previously set dim level after it has been turned off and turned back on (either manually or with X10). Fade ON/OFF brings lights up gradually when turned on and fades them off gradually when turned off. This pleasing effect also has the benefit of extending the life of incandescent bulbs. The Leviton switches respond to On, Off, Bright, Dim, All Lights On and All Units Off. This allows users to send X10 preset dim commands to turn the switches directly to any specified dim level. Home automation controllers which support this feature are the Stargate, the Time Commander series, and Homevision.

No complex programming steps are required to set it up for basic operation. Simply use a pen to press the set button on the side of the switch, and then send a signal from a controller to dictate its unit code. Scene capability is provided by using Leviton Wall-Mounted Scene Controllers. This capability will allow multiple enhanced X10 switches to immediately go to different programmed dim levels in response to a single X10 extended code command. This eliminates the time delays associated with sending out one signal after another to individually set multiple X10 switches to different levels.
The Leviton Enhanced Dimmer Switch is ready for three or four-way circuits. A 3-way circuit requires one Leviton Enhanced Dimmer Switch and one slave switch. A 4-way circuit would require a total of two 2 slave switches. Simply add additional slave switches for 5, 6 or more way circuits. For single pole applications, just cap off the yellow traveler wire. Please note that you must use the slave switches below, existing 3 or 4 way mechanical switches or slaves from other X10 switches will damage the dimmer.
Rated for incandescent and transformer-based loads up to 1000 watts. Uses a neutral wire at the switch for transformer-based lighting. Neutral wire is optional when used with incandescent lighting. Intellisense circuitry enhances sensitivity and reliability of X10 signal reception.
Comes with an interchangeable white/ivory paddle switch cover. almond, black, white, ivory or grey paddle & trim replacement kits are available (sold separately). Slaves switches come in white, ivory and almond. Use the black or grey trim kits to change the color of any of the slave switches. Trim plate is not included.
