I am so far very impressed with this motion activated switch. The price was reasonable, considering that it has a number of features that I have not found on other, more expensive devices. Installation was quick and easy. The included instructions are clear and concise. The device seems well made and attractive, but blends in well with the existing switches without calling undo attention to itself. When adjusting the time delay or daylight sensitivity, the plastic cover snaps off easily without the need for tools, and a small phillips screwdriver is used to make the actual adjustments. The device is very sensitive, and can detect motion up to nearly 180 degrees in the sensor's field of view. However, detection does not extend much above or below the sensor, which is a good thing if you have pets that might otherwise trigger the light in the middle of the night. The device works fine even with flourescent lights, which can pose a problem for some devices. Only a small click is heard when the switch is activated. Once the light comes on, it will stay on as long as motion is detected. This means I can set the time delay for 5 seconds, and the light will turn off 5 seconds after I exit the room, but not before. Other switches (X10) will kill the light after the time-out period even if someone is still in the room. I would have given this product five stars, except for two minor issues. First, the daylight adjustment -- which prevents the light from coming on during the day -- is a bit tricky to set and is kind of touchy. But once you get it set properly, you don't need to worry about it again. The second issue is the three-way operation. Even though I connected the traveler wire according to the instructions, the other switch seems to have no effect on the light. But since the motion detector works so well, this isn't a serious problem. All in all, I am very happy with this device and consider it a good value for the price.
