Essential Info
Have complete remote control of the ON/OFF status of lights and appliances with this heavy-duty X10 wall receptacle! Unlike other duplex receptacles, both outlets can be controlled locally. One X10 command controls both outlets on this receptacle. The 20A X10 Duplex Receptacle also has the unique feature of a feed through wire that becomes live when the outlet is ON and turns off when the outlet is OFF. Use this wire to control other non-X10 receptacles. Responds to ALL OFF. Rated at 20A total, 120V. For easy addressing, insert a black or red X10 Code Clicker (sold separately) into the dial wheel.

Why Local Control?Local control offers the convenience of being able to turn the appliance or lamp on even when you're not near an X10 transmitter. To activate the receptacle locally, simply turn the appliance or light off, then on again. The receptacle will sense the OFF/ON cycle and will force the receptacle on. Unique to this receptacle, the local control feature works on either outlet.
The X10 20A Duplex Receptacle is compatible with Decora-style wall plates (sold separately).
Note: This receptacle requires a minimum load of 40w. If a load of less than 40w is used, it may flicker and/or operate erratically.
