This product could only be improved by offering more than one ring-tone. It's installation is as easy (plug-it-in) as it's functionality is immediate. Feeling very good about this purchase!

One was an out of the box failure, replaced by Smarthome. The farther away from the transmitter, the more likely the response of the receiver will be intermittent. But if there are not a lot of walls or metal objects in-between, it works OK. For the price, a pretty good unit.

Good sound. Unfortunately, the button is not design for outdoor used. On the first rainfall, it stop working. When it dried, it worked again.

I am a one happy customer of SmartHome. I've got the doorbell delivered and let me tell you that since I'm hearing impaired, a doorbell sounded much better than just a knock and I used it in my apartment! I know I can't use it for home automation, like flashing multiple lights, but the doorbell is no problem for me. I live in a 2-story apartment in Tallahassee, FL. Without a doorbell, even a loud knock cannot help me determine if someone knocks in the door. So since I usually stay upstairs (in my bedroom; using a computer, watch TV, etc.), I placed a chime so I can hear from there.
