Essential Info

To get X10 control for plug-in appliances with a custom built-in look simply replace your existing receptacles with these. The bottom outlet behaves like a regular non-controlled outlet while the top outlet responds to X10 commands just like a 3-Pin Appliance Module. Responds to ON/OFF and ALL UNITS OFF. Does not respond to ALL LIGHTS ON or DIM/BRIGHT commands. Local manual override is possible. With manual override, when the receptacle is off, turn the attached appliance/light off, then back on; the receptacle senses the OFF and ON cycle and forces the receptacle on - very handy when you're not near an X10 transmitter. Comes with matching Decora style trim plate.

For easy addressing, insert an X10 Code Clicker (sold separately) into the dial wheel.

    X-10 systems are flakey, but I've been dealing wityh lots of them for 20 years, so I know al ther quirks, and I've got too much invested to change to another line. This receptacle is a replacement for another which failed inside 2 years.

    This product was delivered on time and works as advertised. However, the unit is rather large and I had a hard time getting it to fit in the wall box without squishing the wires. I did get it to work!

    Very DIS-SATISFIED. Product FAILED after only a few weeks. The controlled outlet now stays ON continuously -- it will NOT turn off.

    Installed easily into standard outlet box. It looks too large to fit coming right out of the box. Looks were decieving. Fit perfectly and worked perfectly with the mini controller. I use this to run my hot water heater circulation pump.

    Great device, love the control. The relay is a bit louder (as in even louder than the plug in app modules), and if the device it is connected to is switched off and on, it basically overrides the x10 control and turns the relay on. Weird.

    The X10 Split Receptacle Module was easy to install and makes my life a lot easier. I installed the receptacle outside for my fountain making it easier to turn off without going outside to turn it off.
