Simply replace your existing wall switch with this easy-to-install IR-Controllable Switch, point your existing IR remote at the switch, and push and hold any button on the remote. The light will turn on and then begin to dim (and the indicator light on the switch will flash with the signal from the remote). Release the button at the desired dim level. Once you leave the light at a dim level for 4 seconds or more, the next command will turn the switch off.
The IR-Controllable Wall Switch can operate in two basic modes: 1) It can turn on when it detects any infrared remote control signal, or, 2) it can turn on when you hit a specific button (to prevent accidentally controlling the light when you meant to control the A/V device or vice-versa). The specific button mode is perfect if you have a remote with an extra button that you seldom, if ever, use. Can't find the remote? No problem! You'll still have full control of the light directly at the switch. Requires a standard wall plate (sold separately).
