In the momentary mode, the contacts close for about 2 seconds when the Universal Module receives an ON signal then they open again.
In the continuous mode, the contacts close when the module receives an ON signal and open when it receives an OFF or ALL OFF signal.
The Universal Module also has a built-in beeper that can be used in conjunction with the switching or independently. The module emits 4 beeps when set to Sounder or Sounder and Relay and it receives an ON signal. It is a quieter and different sounding alternative to the Chime Module.
For easy addressing, insert an X10 Code Clicker (sold separately) into the dial wheel.
