What's Included

  • 1x - X10 SocketRocket Compact Screw-In Lamp Module
  • More Info

Only 1 1/4 inches in diameter (it extends the bulb by about 1 1/4 inches) with a 3/8 inch bump on one side, this module will fit inside the cover of most wired-in light fixtures, such as ceiling lights with glass or plastic covers. And because it's small enough to fit under most lampshades, it's perfect for table lamps, too.

Installation's a snap. Simply screw the lamp module into the socket and a light bulb into the module. Unlike conventional X-10 modules the X10 Compact Screw-In Lamp Module does not have any code wheels. To set the unit code, apply power to the light and within 30 seconds, send the X10 code for the module three times. On the third press, the lamp will turn on signifying that the code has been learned. The code will be remember even after a power failure. This device requires the source to be switched ON all the time.

And you're all set with remote on/off control from any X10 transmitter plugged into any AC outlet in your home, without running a single wire. The module even responds to the ALL LIGHTS ON and ALL UNITS OFF command. Does not respond to DIM commands. Rated for up to 150W incandescent lamps.

Order several and automate every wired-in light in your home in minutes!

    Specific Requirements:
120VAC, 40-150W, Lamps rated below 40W may flicker and/or operate erratically
    Non Dimming
Incandescent Bulb Only (Do not use with CFL - Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs)

    ANDRES -- bogota, XX   1/11/2011
It works, follow the instructions to setup the code.
    BARRY -- eatonton, GA   12/19/2010
very cheaply assembled and the shape of the module keeps it from fitting into smaller diameter sockets.
RICHIE -- staten island, NY   8/29/2010
Does on and off...that's it. Not practical if you still want to use the original wall switch. If you previously turned the light off with an x10 controller and then want to turn it on with the wall switch, you can't. You have to turn the light back on from the x10 controller first. It worked as advertised, but it was too impractical in my set up. Also, the fact that it doesn't dim is a big minus for me. If you need simple on and off and you're using an x10 controller all the time, then get this. For anything beyond that, you will be dissapointed. Plus, the bulbs the reccommended I use didn't fit in my light fiixture that was also a minus.
    MICHAEL -- mcdonald, PA   7/9/2010
Socket-rockets work well. I am using them on the outside lights of the house and programmed them all to the same channel so that I don't have to use up device slots on my control module. Note when "programming" these modules that you may need to send the "on" signal repeatedly and for more times than the instructions indicate. I think the instructions say 4 times but I had to send the "on" code from my mini-timer almost 20 times in rapid succession.
ARTURO CURIEL -- ciudad de mxico, XX   3/29/2010
Not what I expected, but usable.
JOSE LUIS -- calexico, CA   1/13/2010

DENNIS -- canyon country, CA   12/14/2009
I HAVE EIGHT OF THESE OUTSIDE AS YARD LIGHTING AND THEY WORK VERY WELL. THEY DO HAVE TO BE RE-PROGRAMED AFTER A POWER OUTAGE HOWEVER; I KNEW THIS BEFORE PURCHASE. THANKS
    VICKI -- cleveland, TN   9/16/2009
Used this to prevent adding difficult access wiring for a chandelier with a downlight in the center and 6 uplights with globes. The downlight comes on with the wall switch and the uplights are controlled by the socketrockets. Simple solution! Sylvania ceiling fan bulbs are shorter than regular bulbs and make up for the additional height of the socketrocket.
DONNIE -- winter springs, FL   12/4/2008
Not able to change the House code. I don't have a controller, but using MPU to send codes and not working.
    JEFFREY -- prescott, AZ   11/24/2008
GREAT PRODUCT AND GREAT PLACE TO DO BUSINESS!
VINCENT -- cos cob, CT   9/12/2008
extrtemely expensive but my application needed it and other vendors no longer carried. I'm less of a fan now. Sorry you asked?
