Essential Info

This combination kit is three products in one, a Wireless Weather Forecast Station with Remote Sensor and a Wireless Temperature Station. The idea behind the kit is to allow you to view outdoor temperature readings (wirelessly via RF transmission) sent from the remote sensor to two independent locations in your home or office up to 330 feet away from the sensor. Each display unit has additional unique features to suit your various needs.

Wireless Weather Forecast Station
The Wireless Weather Forecast Station is an advanced display unit that features a weather forecasting function with three weather icons and weather tendency indicator. It wirelessly communicates with the remote temperature sensor to monitor outdoor temperature (°F or °C). It also monitors indoor temperature (°F or °C), indoor humidity (%RH) and Barometric pressure with a 24 hour history graph (in inHg or hPa); a comfort icon, air pressure trend indicator and forecast icon are also displayed. Additionally, this advanced station records MIN/MAX temperature with time and date of recording and MIN/MAX humidity. An Atomic time (12 or 24 hour) and date (perpetual calendar) is displayed and automatically updates for Daylight Saving Time (on/off option) via your time zone setting. The station also includes a detachable table stand.

Wireless Temperature Station
The Wireless Temperature Station is the more basic of the two displays. It wirelessly communicates with the remote temperature sensor to monitor outdoor temperature (°F or °C) and it monitors indoor temperature (°F or °C). A MIN/MAX value of temperature display can also be viewed. The clock uses Atomic time to automatically set and will display in 12 or 24 hour time along with a calendar (year/month/day) display. The station includes a detachable table stand.

Overall this unit does a good job. I do have two problems: it was very hard to get it out of the packaging, and it doesn;t receive WWVB signals.

Product does what it is supposed to do. The "Temp Sensor" shows It's own local temp plus the remote Temp sensor. (not quite obvious before I purchased). Also the particular unit I purchased needed to be sent back for reapir because the primary forcast station humidity reading was off by 7% consistently.

The packaging was, indeed, very hard to get open. I had the most success with a utility knife, though I had to be extremely careful to not damage to units (or myself). The actual units work as advertised, though the calibration is a bit off. The remote sender has been running around eight degrees cooler overnight than websites are reporting for our local weather (daytime weather seems to be more accurate). The inside units do not even agree with each other, being around three degrees apart.

The forecast station works very well. I was amazed that the radio clock worked down in the valley I am in. I do, however, wish the main display was configurable though. There is so much information on the screen that the temperature displays get lost in the jumble. It is fine to know the humidity and such, but most of the time I just want to glance for outdoor temp.
