Forget about using multiple remotes to control the A/V system in your house. Now you can control everything in your home entertainment center with the same X10 system that operates your lights! Most audio/video components won't turn on simply by applying power. But this remarkable unit translates X10 signals into IR codes that your home theater components can understand. An X10 Maxi-Controller (sold separately) is required for programming the X10 to IR Linc.

So if you want to come home from work to a relaxing home, you can program your X10 system to dim the lights, turn on your A/V receiver and CD jukebox and shuffle through the group of "relaxation" CDs you pre-selected. Feeling nostalgic? Then set it to turn on your lava lamp and start jamming that Jefferson Airplane CD that you secretly crank up when no one else is home. Or set up all the home theater components in your system with the press of one button!
All you have to do is teach this unit the infrared (IR) codes from your original remotes, and you're in business! Now you'll be able to control your home theater with your X10 wireless remote, PC interface or intelligent controller.
For truly flawless, conditional operation, expand its abilities by adding an optional Smarthome Sensor Probe to monitor the status of any device and inform the controller when the status changes.
The X10 to IR Linc includes two built-in IR blaster outputs and three additional IR outputs for any IR emitter, like #8171 or #8174. Other features include LEDs that indicate status. A PowerLinc adapter is included.
