Tell HAL what to do, in your own voice, from any phone in the world, and it can turn on lights, appliances, or any other electrical devices, as easily as if you were switching them on yourself. You can even control devices while you're home by speaking into a PC microphone, or from any phone inside the house. It does all this using wiring that's already in your home, so no complicated installation is required. In fact, setting it up is easier than ever with HALdeluxe, one of the easiest-to-use and most affordable voice automation packages you can find! But the incredible HALdeluxe features don't end there. The system can also read your e-mail to you from anywhere! If you're someone who wants to keep up to date, you can even get verbal updates on news, stock prices, weather reports, sports scores, TV listings and traffic! You can even install HALvoices (sold separately) for a selection of realistic, human-like voices.
Doubles as an Answering Machine
HALdeluxe also acts as a full-featured answering machine, so you won't have to continue paying those monthly voicemail fees to the phone company. It supports 10 voice mailboxes, and, if you subscribe to the phone company Caller ID service, it can also announce the name and/or phone number of the person calling. With this service, you can leave custom messages for specific individuals. You can also tell HAL to call anyone in your HAL Directory, just by saying their name. HALdeluxe even logs all incoming and outgoing calls, so you'll always know what calls were made or received.
More Affordable Than HAL 2000
Although HALdeluxe doesn't have all the features as the flagship HAL2000 — like the ability to control HVAC systems, home theater components or items controlled by relays or analog/digital inputs — this version is more affordable, especially since the modem is included with this system, rather than being a separate purchase.
