The Superna 6-inch Touch Panel is a cost-effective UPnP-based wired or wireless solution for high-end user interaction with your home automation system. The SVGA high-resolution LCD screen comes equipped with a graphics accelerator and NTSC/PAL analog video encoder for faster response and enhanced display and control qualities. The compact design allows for easy mounting nearly anywhere, and the built-in microphone and speaker make it a natural for use as part of an intercom system. Also, the programmable buttons place your favorite scenes at your fingertips. At the push of a button, you can control your entire home via INSTEON, Z-Wave, UPB or a combination of the control protocols. Use the touch panel to stream your digital media files from any computer or Media Center PC on your home network to any Superna ControlBox (sold separately) in your home, or play the files directly to the touch screen itself. With the built-in high-resolution display and speakers, the touch panel can act as a media access point. Now you can experience whole-house digital audio and video distribution from the convenience of the 6-inch touch panel.

Superna Home Control and AutomationThe Superna home control system provides serial and USB connectors for all common types of interface modules for controlling household devices, appliances or systems. Superna standards-based software and hardware make home automation a simple reality by allowing you to use one or several communication protocols together to control your home. INSTEON, Z-Wave and other protocols can work seamlessly together. With Superna software running on one or several of your home PCs or ControlBoxes, and connection to the appropriate interface modules, it is possible to send commands to several proprietary control devices. Scenes can now be engaged from the touch screen that will turn on a lamp to 50 percent via INSTEON, set the ceiling fan to 20 percent speed via UPB, draw the blinds via Vizia RF and turn on the radio to your favorite station with a Global Caché IR command.
Whole-House Digital Media DistributionThe Superna 6-inch touch screen supports direct audio and video streaming of major formats and can direct streams to a specific resource such as a TV or stereo from any PC on the home network. Now you can easily stream a movie into the living room stored on the computer in the den or listen to audio files in the kitchen that are stored on a PC in the bedroom from the convenience of the touch screen. The touch screen can support and play back videos in the MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI, WMV and DIVX formats. Audio can be played from the touch screen speakers in the following audio formats: WMA, MP3, WAV, MPEG-4 AAC (Low Complexity, 5.1 Channels), AVI. JPEG, GIF, and PNG photo formats can be viewed on the SVGA color touch screen display. Audio files, video files and images are easy to control and use via the touch screen's customizable user interface.
Setup, Installation and User InterfaceAll that's required to set up the touch screen to communicate your Superna home automation system is a wired or wireless network. The touch screen can be wired to your network via cat 5 cable or it can communicate via Wi-Fi connectivity. You can fully leverage your standard IP home network to connect legacy electronic devices to your home computer network for control of lighting, HVAC, home control and delivery of digital audio/video content to any room in the house. The touch screen even has serial and IR ports for simple interfacing with local devices.
Superna Configuration SoftwareUse ConfigNet desktop software to configure and personalize your touch screen interface easily. Using Superna software products, you can set up the touch screen to interact with various interface devices you already own such as PCs, UMPCs, PDAs, TVs, or Touch Panels for ultimate control.
