Save a small fortune on your utility bills by programming your electric water heater to turn on only during off-peak hours. Reduce your power consumption by setting your air conditioner to turn off after you leave for work in the morning and turn on again an hour before you get home. You can even fire up your hot tub or spa with a phone call, making sure it's at the perfect temperature when you finally arrive home (requires optional telephone transponder).

This module is hardwired between the power from the circuit breaker panel and the appliance it controls. It can be controlled remotely by an X10 command from any X10 transmitter, or locally by physically pressing the ON/OFF button on the panel. Depending on your needs, it can even be configured to control two 120VAC appliances instead of a single 240VAC appliance.

As an added bonus, the 30-Amp Appliance Relay Module also acts as an X10 signal coupler-repeater. This feature, which normally costs over $100 in a separate unit, will improve the reliability of your X10 system. Additionally, the unit can be programmed to only respond to two successive X10 commands, thereby reducing the risk of a false signal tripping the unit!

For users who have three-phase power, which is commonly found in some industrial locations and apartments, this unit is the first 'phase-to-phase' controller we have ever seen that works. Where all other 220-volt controllers fail to operate on three-phase electricity, this unit succeeds! We had to test it ourselves to believe it and it passed!

    Other features include:
    • EEPROM memory remembers the X10 addresses and the unit's last state during a power outage.

    • No code wheels for setting the X10 address

    • Dry-contact input can activate the relays

    • LED indicators to show each relay's status

    • Responds to 3 commands: ON, OFF, and STATUS REQUEST

    • Signal coupler-repeater can be disabled
Enclosed in a heavy-duty PVC enclosure prefitted with 1/2" conduit connector, the 30-Amp Appliance Relay Module measures 4.36 (W) x 6.36" (H) x 2" (D) and includes 18" of 10-gauge hookup wires. Not suitable for wet locations. No need having to spend money for a failed unit as it includes a limited lifetime warranty.

The module was easy to install. I attached it to an existing mechanical timer ocntrol for the water heater mounted on the wall surface.

Needs new prom/plc to work correctly with CM15A in timer/macro mode. Unfortuanately discontinued with no known replacement in this current/voltage range. If timer control from CM15A is desired, the unit must either be actuated using a Universal Module via the dry contact method, or via a transceived command from an X10 RF transceiver module.

Am I the only one with a bad experience with this thing? I purchased this unit to replace the heavy duty modules for x10. The unit worked perfectly for 2 weeks then it not only stopped listening to signals it also killed all x10 signals on the line. I spoke with Brad Weeks at Elk Products and tried troubleshooting with him. Eventually I sent the unit back to them and they claimed to send me a new tested unit back to me(plus shipping costs of course). It looks like the exact same unit I sent them, but the exact same thing happened once again. 2 weeks, unit stops listening(2 blinks on line signal led), completly kills all x10 signals on the line. I am only using 10 amps on this thing and it has been nothing but trouble. Stick with the other heavy duty modules(as crappy as some can be). Yes I tried no repeater and with repeater jumpers and any other jumper configuration you can think of... I am using the smartlinc home controller and normal x10 modules on a standard properly grounded 220v line. Trust me, I wish it just worked...

It installed easily, worked perfect the first time. I'm new to home automation and this is the only X-10 unit that I have and it works very reliably. I controls my pool pump. Highly recommended
    R.W. -- wylie, TX   6/22/2007
    Fabulous
    JUDY A -- massillon, OH   5/30/2007
    worked as advertised
    RICHARD -- frankfort, IL   9/27/2006
The module was installed to control a lawn sprinkler pump. Following installation, it was accidently submerged in water with the electricity still connected causing it to stop functioning. After opening it up, drying it out with a hair dryer, and reinstalling it in the circuit, it started working again. Amazing!
    LLOYD -- lakeway, TX   6/21/2006
Detail specification not available online - had to fudge my installation to allow these to function in my environment. Works good.
    ERNIE -- henryville, PA   3/9/2006
I installed this in my brother's home since the unit I already had in my home worked so well. Works as desired. Saves a lot of money too...
    WILLIAM -- hawley, PA   3/6/2006

    THOMAS -- sarasota, FL   1/26/2005
Great product. It is good to see that higher quality X10 products are more and more available.
    JOSEPH -- denville, NJ   1/24/2005
I bought 2 for my project. A bit expensive, I would have liked to see replaceable internal relays instead of board-soldered. Tested for 2 weeks and went live. Perfect operation. Predictable and reliable.
    BIENVENIDO -- miami, FL   1/2/2005
Item was easy to install and very easy to operate. It exceeded my expectations.
    Scott -- phoenix, AZ   12/29/2004
Works great so far. Solved my problem with one set of lights not always turning on or off. The only down side I have found is my lights no longer dim from the remote or the computer controler. they turn on and off fine just do not respond to the dim commands.
