Essential Info
Don't let your home fall victim to a burst pipe. By connecting this Elk Water Shutoff Valve to your home automation controller or security system, your water main can be shut off before significant damage is done. A water sensor, sold separately, can be placed anywhere that might be a potential source for a leak; under your washing machine, by the water heater, or on the bathroom floor. When a leak is detected it sends out a signal to your home automation controller or security system which will have the Elk Water Shutoff Valve turn the water main off, usually in less than four seconds.

Built for Years of ServiceElk's Water Shutoff Valve is a full-port, 2-way ball valve with a 1-inch bore, and it is made of 316 stainless steel and is safe for drinking water. The motorized actuator has a permanently lubricated gear drive with sufficient torque to open or close the valve under high pressure or after long periods of inactivity. This valve is built with commercial-grade seats and seals for a long service life. It is a non-restricting valve, which meets the approvals of state and municipal water authorities.
Versatile Electrical ConnectionsThe ELK-WSV valve can be operated via a simple 12-volt DC input from a security or automation controller such as the M1 Gold System, INSTEON-Enabled M1 Gold System, or M1EZ8. You'll need a water sensor to tell your automation system there's water on the floor. It can also be attached directly to a 12V DC power source through an SPDT Emergency Pushbutton for manual control. Operating time from fully open to fully closed is less than 4 seconds.
