Ideal for such digital network audio streamers as the Exstreamers, Command Cubes™ is a multimedia jukebox software package featuring multiple sound card support. Its multi-zone audio and video features make it the perfect software for your full-house audio system. While Command Cubes will work on a single PC, it is ideal for integrating multimedia onto a home network distributed across multiple computer systems. Command Cubes will support a media collection of over 50,000 files and over 150 GB worth of data without sacrificing performance. Exstreamers and computers are sold separately. Smarthome does not accept returns on any opened software.

Command Cubes is a touch-screen friendly multi-zone audio video jukebox software solution that allows you to play MP3s, Windows Media Audio or Video over your local area network using your home PC. Command Cubes will turn your computer into a touch-screen friendly multi-zone jukebox system in minutes. In addition to built-in support for detecting all multi-zone Barix IP audio hardware, Command Cubes software supports multiple sound cards to create multiple listening zones, which can be the perfect complement to any multi-zone amplifier such as the NuVo Essentia.

This revolutionary software allows you to manage and distribute music and movies to an unlimited number of zones or computers within your home. Once you have installed the server software on your home network, you'll be able to send audio and video to any remote zone on the network. This configuration allows you to have an audio server in a centralized location within your home and have multiple interfaces anywhere throughout your house.

You're not just limited to music with Command Cubes. Add video files to your music catalog to make it a true media jukebox. It supports all audio and video file formats. You can even put your family videos on the Command Cubes server and watch them on your TV. Simply connect the composite video out to your television.

Create your own playlists, or set up a queue into which you can load music while the current track is playing. Auto play filters allow you to define what type of music is played. For example, you are able to only play "Oldies" or "Videos" and "Dance Music" randomly. You can also place filters on other items such as artist name, album name, and song date. You can even set the music queue to play in a completely random order.

Command Cubes allows you to connect to more than one audio zone at once, so you can route one song to the kitchen and another to your kid's bedroom. Distributed home media technology allows one server and many types of clients or zones. The clients need very little "power" since the Command Cubes server does all the work, perfect for hardware control integration.

Set music or videos to play at different times during the day in any zones of the house. For example, you could have music start playing in your bedroom at 6 a.m. and program music to start playing in the kids' room at 9 a.m. Command Cubes offers full ID tag support, including album cover art, title, artist, album, track number, genre and more. Create your own user interface with skins. You can even add your own pictures.

Command Cubes supports third-party home automation software, so you can use Command Cubes to control your X10 devices or even infrared devices. Use Command Cubes to turn on and dim the lights and turn off the television.
