Schedules
You can also set vacation schedules that simulate an "at home" appearance to reduce the risk of being burglarized. A number of schedules can be used, including separate ones for weekdays and weekends. Remote Access
Downloaded the free add-on to access your computer running HCA from any location on a local network or the Internet.With the add-on you can remotely control your lights and appliances, start and stop programs, switch schedules and even view the state of your home. Do everything you can do on HCA 7 you would on your home PC, except making changes to your design.
INSTEON Interface
Home Control Assistant 7 offers additional benefits such as a Web interface, VBA interface and the ability to create floorplans via .DXF files. Additionally, it works with a wide variety of INSTEON interfaces, including:
NOTE: Depending on the type of home control products used in your home, the software may require that you leave the software running. Home Control Assistant consumes very little of your computer's resources making it easy to do other tasks while it's running. HCA supports downloading to the 1132CU PowerLinc but not to the PowerLinc V2 Controller.
Full Hardware Support
HCA 7 is also fully compatible with the latest generation of UPB, INSTEON, and X10 switches and modules. As HCA can use all of these interfaces at the same time, HCA can act as a bridge between UPB, X10, Insteon, wireless, etc.
