Homeseer's HomeTroller-SE PRO is a network-based home automation controller which incorporates all of the flexibility and control provided by HomeSeer's HS2 and HSPRO software into one easy-to-install, compact unit. The HT-SE-PRO is capable of controlling appliances, lighting, HVAC, and infrared (IR) devices such as rack equipment for home theaters. Being that the HT-SE-PRO is an open standards system, it can be integrated with multiple technologies from a variety of industry leaders, such as Insteon, Lutron, Zensys, Leviton, Lightolier, HAI, Global Cache, UPB, X10, Z-Wave, and many more.
HomeTroller-SE is designed for use by dealers and DIY homeowners. The menu-driven interface provides easy setup and configuration. The interface is a web-based API (An Open Application Program Interface) for added support for almost any custom or proprietary system. The software add-ons available are called plu-ins. They offer additonal functionality and enhance the system by integrating it with media players like iTunes, security panels, and infrared controllers. This system provides a number of features which prove the units value. The write-protected embedded operating system prevents unwanted changes to the programming and guards against viruses, malware, and spyware which can corrupt files. Via any web browser, users can manage, add/change programming, and troubleshoot from anywhere in the world. The mechanical design creates a very small foot print and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Other features not typically found in other home automation controllers include,
HSProtect
This offers protection to the operating system by blocking unwanted writes during operation and keeping your C drive safe by making it virtually impossible to corrupt files.
HSSentry
This feature is an auto-reset with in the scheduler. If for any reason the scheduler stops running, this feature will reset the unit. This will result in 100% up-time for the controller.
Remote Access
All aspects of this system can be controlled, and monitored over the internet. This is great for keeping an eye on your home while away on work or vacation.
Text-To-Speech
This engine allows the use of synthesized or concatenated human speech models for reminders alerts and announcements such as Motion detection in specific areas, phone calls, weather, news, schedules for medication, and more.
Voice Recognition / Voice Control
Voice commands can be used from any computer on the homes LAN or internet (WAN). This feature can be used over the phone with the HomeSeer phone software. Voices may also be used to control automated lighting or appliances.
