Easy SetupDevice and automation setup wizards get your system running quickly, so you'll soon be setting up your home automation system using CHAD's simple user interface. One of the most-desired features of home automation software is to display the status of all the devices on your home's floorplan. CHAD makes this easy with a simple file upload after you draw your floorplan in any type of graphic file - jpg, bmp, or gif. From the interface, you'll be able to link the system to your home theater components for IR control, programmable thermostats for HVAC control, and an unlimited number of X10-enabled lamps and appliances for device and scene setup. Remotely view and capture images of selected areas in and around your home with color or black/white surveillance cameras.
Does More Than Just ControlBut this home automation software does far more than merely control your electrical and electronic devices. Count on CHAD for home monitoring: Images from connected cameras are saved on your PC and the web for review at any time, and you can set up the system to send you an e-mail, text message, page, or cell phone notification when events occur at your home. The history log provides a full account of events that have occurred.
Built-In Personal AssistantPersonalize your system with CHAD's personal assistant feature. This system can keep track of each family member's busy schedule with an integrated calendar and will even send reminders to specific email addresses or cell phones before appointments. Maintain separate contact lists with photos. Since the home automation software is set up on a web-enabled computer, you can set up the system to retrieve weather forecasts, stock data, traffic information, earthquake reports for California areas, and entertainment schedules automatically. You can even avoid parking on the freeway by asking CHAD to display traffic info for your commute before you leave home.
Simple Macro ProgrammingAre you tired of turning on the same 3 lights every time you enter your home? CHAD makes it easy to write and run macros allowing you to automate these repetitive tasks. Simply click on the macro tab and tell it which devices should be on or off, and which button you want to press. Examples might include Movie Time, holiday lighting, or Bedtime (all lights off).
Announce Events with MusicCHAD can command Windows Media Player to play particular tunes upon events - instead of your doorbell chime, have it play "Hit the Road, Jack" or any other tune from your library. Have it play the "Jaws" theme when your motion sensor detects someone in the pool. And why not "Singing in the Rain" when it turns on the sprinklers?
