Analog inputs allow you to connect continuously variable input devices like temperature sensors and light level sensors. Digital inputs allow you to monitor security magnetic contacts, motion sensors and other contact closure sensors. Built-in relays allow you to directly hardwired low voltage devices that you might want to control such as the HVAC system, watering systems, garage door openers, etc. Additional input/outputs can be obtained by daisychaining additional I/O xpanders (up to 152 inputs/72 outputs).
