Two-way communication means that in addition to sending out X10 commands, this controller can also receive X10 commands, using them as triggers to initiate entire sequences of commands. Imagine pressing one button on a controller and having an entire lighting scene take effect, with multiple devices all changing from one command! Change lighting with one button press for setting mood lighting, reacting to safety needs (like emergeny lighting), or conveniece. Easily turn off all the lights in the house with just a button press!

Advanced if-then-else programming logic with 3-level nesting allows you to set conditions for actions. For example, you can program the system to only turn lights on if it's after sunset, or to ignore parts of the program based on the day of the week. And the internal sunrise/sunset clock ensures your programs run jsut as you intend!

Purchase the JDS TimeCommander for 2-way X10 and expand later by adding the I/O Xpander. The standard TimeCommander provides all of the features of the TimeCommander Plus (1200) without the analog/digital inputs and relay outputs. Add the I/O Xpander module later to provide the same functionality as the TimeCommander Plus. If you'd like to add infrared control, add the JDS IR Xpander (1232), giving you two way infrared control of your X10 and infrared-based devices.
