Controllable from any Z-Wave transmitter, The Evolve Guest Controls T-100R is a wireless RF, remote controllable, Z-Wave communicating thermostat. This unit is designed to work with the majority of typical HVAC systems. This thermostat is intended for use, in Z-Wave communicating systems, where remote monitoring, programming, and control are needed. Evolve's T-100R offers a 7-day programmable schedule with up to 4 different settings per day. Providing a very robust user interface, located on the face of the thermostat are 6 labeled buttons for manually controlling or programming your thermostat. Raise and lower temperatures manually or from anywhere in the world using network based automation control systems such as, the Cortexa Automation Controller or HomeSeer's HomeTroller. On-Screen labels assist in manually operating the thermostat, by acting as system indicators to show the user's current operating modes. An optional fan cycler feature can be used to automatically switch fans On/Off according to the pre-programmed user settings.

To use this device you will replace your existing thermostat with the Evolve Guest Controls T-100R. The T-100R can be wall mounted or mounted to a single-gang junction box. There are four standard operating modes, along with one special operating mode intended for use in heat pump applications. These standard settings are Off, Heating, Cooling, and Auto. If using this thermostat in a heat pump HVAC system, the additional "EHEAT" setting can be used to help prevent damage to your HVAC system. In the event of a compressor failure, this mode will allow the supplemental Auxiliary heat to be triggered first, whenever heating is needed. Preventing further damage to your HVAC system is incredibly important in a situation like this, which is exactly what the "EHEAT" feature will do by disabling the compressor output. Maintenance and filter service indicators alert the user when a change of filter is needed or maintenance to the HVAC system. A minimum Run Time (MRT) is implemented to avoid uneven heating and cooling, as well as a Minimum OFF Time (MOT) which prevents rapid heating and cooling cycles while providing "short cycle protection" for compressors. A total of two external remote temperature sensors can be used to replace the internal sensor or to calculate an average between the two (sold Separately). This unit is powered by a 24VAC supply from the HVAC system and requires the connection of both the 24VAC (R) and 24VAC common (C) wires. This unit is not to be used for line voltage applications where control over 120/240VAC is required.
