Did exactly what I wanted and was the right price range.

I'm using this meter only for its hour meter function so I can keep track of the amount of hours my high end vacuum tube audio system is on so I know if I have reached the 200 hour break-in point for tubes, interconnects, capacitors, and ETC. to sound their best. It also helps when it comes time to sell a component because buyers often want to know how many hours are on the component overall or on the current set of vacuum tubes in particular. The unit has a battery back-up so it maintains the current hour, minute, and second count when I shut off the amplifier and continues counting when the amplifier is powered up again. The meter also has a bright greenish back-light display that makes it easy to see in a darkened room in the evening. However, I can't use it specifically on my tubed preamplifier because the meter counts the small amount of phantom power it uses to allow remote control turn-on of the unit. The actual energy monitoring functions of the meter are incidental and not used because I have another energy meter that provides me with the same information. All functions, including the hour meter can be reset to zero. I give it 5 stars for the lighted display and clock/hour meter functionality with battery backup and reserve judgment on its other functions. I think these features are what make this meter twice as expensive as my other energy meter, the Kill-A-Watt, which lacks the clock, lighted display, hour meter, and back-up battery, but provides useful information otherwise.

Although the changeable values such as KwHr are easily visible, the reason for only 4 stars is that teh fixed displayed title such as "Total" are almost too small to read. The KwHr price entry needs one more digit of precision.
