Essential Info
Control all of your home's lighting from any room in your house. Designed as a lighting and automation controller for homes and small businesses, the HAI Lumina Controller comes with everything you need to get started with sophisticated lighting control for up to eight rooms (56 lights). No need for new wiring - the Lumina uses UPB™, an advanced digital communication standard that transmits your commands over standard electrical wires. Lumina can also operate lighting devices enabled with other technologies, including X10, ALC hardwire, RF, custom hardwire and others. All you need to add are the switches you wish to control. Lights come on as programmed or with the push of a button. All of Lumina's features can be programmed on-site, without a computer, using the included LCD keypad. Control Lighting in One Room With a Keypad in AnotherSince the Lumina enclosure comes with a powerline interface module, you'll be able to control all connected lights from the included keypad. Install additional keypads around your house for easy lighting control from any room. One Lumina Keypad controller is included with the HAI Lumina Controller; you can add up to eight HAI Lumina Keypads (each sold separately) in any home. Also available is the HAI Lumina Keypad w/Speaker & Microphone, which allows two-way voice communication (requires the 2-way voice module). For additional elegance and ease of use, an OmniTouch touchscreen is available.

Expandable System Allows for FlexibilityInstall an HAI Lumina Mode Switch near your home's main entry, and you'll be able to control light settings for every light in your house with the press of any of six mode buttons. If you add HAI's Omnistat Communicating Thermostats, you can control your home's temperatures through your Lumina system. Replacement transformers and backup batteries are also available.
Event-Based Lighting ControlIt's certainly convenient to turn off the downstairs lights from your bedroom, but lighting control encompasses so much more than just on and off. The HAI Lumina Controller allows 16 inputs for indoor or outdoor temperature, humidity sensors, motion detectors, and door/window sensors. It even has 8 voltage outputs for triggering hardwire relay. How can you take advantage of these features? Connected devices and lights can be scheduled by time, sunrise/sunset and day of the week, so you can set the system to turn on your coffee maker thirty minutes before it gradually turns on your lights to wake you up on weekday mornings. If your system is connected to your thermostat, you can prevent it from turning on if a door or window is open in order to save energy. You can even connect to your existing security system to trigger lights to turn on for safe exiting in the event of an alarm or to shut off the air and heat to stop the spread of smoke.
Adjust Lighting From the Office or the RoadControl your system remotely: Snap-Link software comes with a USB thumb drive that you can insert into any Internet-connected computer to monitor or control your HAI system remotely. An optional telephone interface kit allows you to call in and control your home remotely using a cellular phone.

Additional FeaturesConnect the HAI Lumina Controller to your network through its Ethernet port. Two built-in serial ports are also available with jumper selectable RS-232 or RS-485.
