Detect the sound of breaking window glass in your home. This unit recognizes the pattern of glass breaking across the full audio band. Perfect for homes with many windows, this protective device employs patented acoustic pattern recognition technology for up to 20 feet in a 360° range. The Detector works best on glass 1' x 2' or larger.
Requires the HAI 64-Zone Wireless Receiver as an interface to the HAI Omni panels.
Data TransmittedNormal state While installed and with no alarm detected, the Wireless Glass Break Detector transmits every 60 minutes to advise the alarm system of the detector's presence (supervision mode).
Alarm Sending an alarm signal when triggered by the sound of breaking glass.
Battery Low A "Battery Low" signal will be transmitted with the next message, either a Supervision or Alarm signal, to indicate that the battery has reached 2.4 volts.
Zone ConfigurationAvoid configuring the Wireless Glass Break Detector to a 24-hour zone type (e.g. tamper, panic, etc.), so that the sensor is armed while the room is in use. Instead, consider configuring the zone type as night interior or away interior. This will help prevent false alarms.
Note: The Wireless Glass Break Detector may not consistently detect cracks in glass, or bullets which break through the glass.
Glassbreak sensors should always be backed up by interior protection.
