Essential Info
Creating the perfect mood and ambiance in your home theater room requires the proper lighting. The HAI Home Theater Lighting Promo Kit has been pre-configured for the ultimate lighting control setup. The backbone of the system is the phase couplers that allow for communication across the electrical phases in your home. A pair of hard wired 600 Watt switches will add dimming capabilities to your existing hard wired lighting, and are even three-way-ready. Two lamp modules have been included that will allow for dimming control of lamps via a simple plug-in installation. Each of the lighting switches and lamp modules can be controlled via the included six button scene switch or the scene switch remote. The six button scene switch can be wall mounted just like any standard switch or it can be placed in the included white table top scene switch cradle for convenient tableside control. The scene switch remote operates just like any other IR remote, and will control each of the UPB devices individually or as group. Use these devices to create the ideal lighting scene in your home theater all at the press of a single button.

600W UPB Dimmer Switches
The HAI Lighting Promo Kit includes 12 600W UPB Dimmer Switches. The UPB Dimmer Switch is used for controlling and dimming lighting loads up to 600 watts. UPB technology uses your existing wiring, so you don't need to run wires in order to take advantage of its properties. Additionally, it may be used with room controllers, house controllers, or automation controllers. The 600 Watt UPB Dimmer Switch works as a stand-alone dimmer or may be used with room controllers, house controllers, or automation controllers. In addition, it may be used as a three-way controller when you add a UPB auxiliary switch, included. Additionally, these switches may be controlled via the 5.7" touch screen or via Snap Link. This wall switch controller mounts in a standard wall electrical box. It uses standard Decora-style mechanics and a standard Decora-style wall plate, sold separately. Please note that the HAI UPB 600W Dimmer does require the use of the white neutral wire, where most standard switches have no connection for the neutral.
UPB Lamp Module
The HAI UPB Lamp Module is a plug-in dimmer that incorporates the UPB two-way power line communication technology, which gives it the ability to be remotely controlled by UPB compatible controllers. The Lamp Module has one UPB controllable outlet that can sense the lamp's local on/off switch to turn the lamp on even after it was turned off using UPB control. The HAI UPB Lamp Module is also capable of transmitting UPB™ messages (including current light level) when the local lamp switch is used to turn the lamp on. Each lamp module can be configured to custom fit an individual's lifestyle and desires. The HAI Lamp Module is capable of storing up to 16 preset light levels and fade rates to create powerful lighting scenes. The HAI Lamp Module is capable of being set to a non-dimming mode in order to control such loads as fluorescent lights.
Scene Switch, 6 Button
Control every light in the room from a single location. The HAI UPB 6 Button Room Controller allows for lighting control of a room where UPB Wall switches have been installed. This six-button room controller sends signals to each UPB wall switch over the Universal Powerline Bus protocol, an advanced communication technology that uses your existing power wires, so no rewiring is necessary in order to use this controller. The UPB Room Controller mounts in a standard wall electrical box, and it uses a standard Decora-style wall plate, sold separately.
Table Top Scene Switch Cradle
The Table Top Scene Switch Cradle is used to table mount the Scene Switch. The Table Top Scene Switch Cradle can be conveniently located throughout the home, including on a bedside nightstand, on the desk in a home office, or next to your favorite chair. It plugs directly into electrical outlet and has a cord length of 6 feet.
Scene Switch Remote Control
The Scene Switch Remote Control is used for controlling rooms of HLC lighting by sending infrared (IR) signals to the 6-Button Scene Switches. To activate lighting, point the Remote Control at a Scene Switch and press the desired buttons. The buttons on the Remote Control simulate pressing the pushbuttons on the Scene Switch. The room can be turned on, turned off, dimmed, brightened, or set to a scene (A-D). The Scene Switch Remote Control has 4 separate IR codes for each button so that it can be used to control up to 4 Scene Switches located in the same general area of a room.
UPB Phase Coupler
Are UPB-controlled lights or appliances in one area of your house having trouble receiving signals from UPB transmitters in another area of the house? Because most homes have 2-phase 220V power that splits into two separate 110V legs, sometimes UPB signals have a hard time making the transition from one leg to the other. But connect the HAI UPB Phase Coupler to your main circuit breaker panel, and it will bridge UPB signals between the two power lines in your home easily, allowing virtually all of your UPB receivers to respond to UPB signals. This capacitor is useful for coupling UPB signals across two 120V AC power circuits in a split-phase residential installation.
