  • You can now control your A/V components in another room using your standard IR remote controls, thanks to Xantech. The 1-Zone Connecting Block is an integral part of Xantech's IR repeating system, which sends IR signals over an unshielded 3-conductor inter-room cable (sold separately). A J-Box IR Receiver is required and sold separately, as are IR emitters, which attach to your components, delivering your IR signals. The 1-Zone Connecting Block (1 Emitter Out) provides a low-cost means of connecting Xantech IR receivers to one single or dual emitter and a power supply.

The 1-Zone Connecting Block has two inputs: a three-terminal VGS block for wired connection of Xantech IR receivers and Smart Pad keypads, as well as a 3.5mm stereo mini jack, which will accept any Xantech IR receiver equipped with a 3.5mm stereo mini plug. This connecting block features a single 3.5mm mini jack output. Need more than that? Try the 1-Zone Connecting Block with 4 Emitters Out (sold separately).

Power for the 1-Zone Connecting Block is supplied through its 2.1mm coaxial power jack for Xantech's 12-Volt Regulated Power Supply (sold separately).

I put (2) LCD TV's in different rooms on one HD Digital cable box using the Smart Home components, Everything works great. Hint: use 75ohm cable on the RCA outputs of the digital cable box to go to the 2nd LCD tv. Picture and sound will be great. Get RCA/75 ohm adapters and you are good to go. I use a 2 to 1 splitter cord for the L/R sound so I only ran (1) 75 ohm for sound and (1) 75ohm for video. I used (4) conductor phone cords and connectors to link the controls. You will be amazed!

I bought one of these, not knowing that one came with the IR sensor. If info had been more clear, I could have saved some money. Otherwise, this is a good product.
